Why every diet I tried failed, how the Carnivore Hybrid was born, and how men over 40 should eat for real testosterone, real energy, and real peace in their gut again.
This is a great post and thanks for sharing. Aside from the focus on the diet for men (which is self evident), how much overlap would there be with a comparable diet for women? If you're married a lot of meaningful time is spent at meals and it's MUCH easier if completely different diets aren't being followed. As a single guy, your protocol is totally doable. As a married guy who still wants to loop in his wife, I'm not sure of the best way to proceed.
I have a fiancée and it works very well for us. I specialize in men but this template will also have transformative effects in women too. Assuming followed in the right way.
Thanks for the response and I'm going to look into giving this a shot. Finessing dinner (which is deprecated in your practice, for good reason it seems) is the difficult step. It's where we sit down and connect over a good meal. But I'm definitely ready for a change--Paleo, Keto, etc. etc. been there done them.
Both carry marginal risks. Selenium can help render some of the heavy metals useless (like mercury) and if you consume with some insoluble fiber, it may be that a lot of it will bind to the fiber and be excreted out. But if you're that concerned, maybe a little clay could be useful.
I’m a woman - been instinctively doing this carnivore hybrid way of eating. Only started one week ago and: I’m down 6 lbs, inflammation has drastically decreased, brain fog gone, and I have energy! Actually, I feel alive again since I’m not poisoning myself with processed food anymore. I think females need to eat a bit more fat than men to keep our hormones functioning, but I think you are right on track. Great article!
I’m very pro good red wine. Fermented grapes (or any fruit for that matter) brings underrated health benefits. White wine is good too but not as potent as red. Good quality liquors have their place. The key is quality and moderation.
This is absolutely packed full of value. I didn't hold back. Hope you guys enjoy.
Skip the meat, drink the wine only 😉
Haha.. or do both!

What about the high levels of arsenic in sardines? Wild caught sockeye salmon might be a better option?

When you’re doing broth do you just make a big batch and keep it simmering in there for days?
Exactly, yes. Throw a load of bones and fresh herbs in there. It's so easy.

Thanks for this Danielle. Glad it has been helping you!
What about fermented foods like homemade kefir, Greek yogurt, and yogurt Whey? We make our blueberry smoothies with them.
And what are pasteurized eggs? We have a local small farm we buy raw honey and duck eggs from. Are those OK?
All good yes.
Sauerkraut?
Good.
Similar to animal based
Indeed. Just more root vegetables and fish.
What are your thoughts on alcohol? I eat out a lot through work. Any better options?

Red wine is the biblical drink after all!
Great post! Love it. Its energizing to see something so simple and based on human development and patterns.
Glad it resonated. Thanks for reading.
Question- how important is a post workout meal. I would love to give this diet a shot, but I can only train after three.
