Why I Stopped Working Out Like a 25 Y/O Tech Bro and Started Lifting for Longevity.

This is the weekly workout outline I follow to bulletproof my testosterone, mobility, and strength without chasing PRs, destroying my joints, and waking up feeling like I've been hit by a bus.

I used to train like a 25-year-old tech bro.

Always chasing PRs, ego lifting and wrecking my joints for likes and validation in the mirror.

Now?

I train to dominate at 55, not just survive.

This is my weekly plan for men over 40 who want testosterone, mobility, and real-world strength (not just abs):

• 1 HIT session (low-contact but high intensity for endurance + grit)
• 1 Light rings workout (unilateral upper-body control + stability)
• 1 Pilates session (yoga ruins more than it saves)
• 1 Heavy legs (split between bilateral + single-leg focus)
• 1 Heavy upper body (mostly unilateral + structural work)

Bonus:

I’ll do some Landmine play (not the explosive kind) with a barbell to build rotational power, athleticism, and anti-fragile joints.

After 16 years of training, and going from a skinny 185 pounds to a strong, lean 209 pounds… I’ve learned this:

Most men aren’t training for longevity. They’re training for dopamine hits and digital approval.

And it shows.

Applying “No pain, no gain” when you’re already burnt out doesn’t make you tough…

It makes you brittle.

You need to train like your future depends on it… because it does.
